Internet Marketing: Associate Programs
This is a form of advanced link trading that can really make you some money. It's called an associate program or an affiliate program.
Two Basic
Ways to Make Money with Associate / Affiliate programs:
1. You put other people's links on your site and when someone clicks from your site to the other site and buys something, you get a commission. It costs nothing to participate in such a program.
2. You purchase tracking software and have other people putting links on their site. When someone clicks from their site to yours and purchases something, you owe them a commission, which the software tracks for you. This software goes from free to many thousand dollars. You can get a very good program for about $900.00
The most famous associate program is Amazon.com, the big online bookseller. You sign up, put a link on your site, and then you make money when people click through to buy things. If you go looking around web sites, you’ll see a lot of people are selling books for Amazon.com by putting a banner on their web site.
I could put a banner on my web site and if you bought a book by clicking through that link to Amazon, I’d get a commission on it. Amazon is getting a whole bunch of people selling books for them and giving commissions. I don’t recommend using Amazons’ or any of those little ones because they give you such a lousy commission. You’re getting somebody to click out of your site for maybe a buck or a buck and a half and the affiliate won’t even pay you until you get so much commission. It could be six months later. I’m against them. I am for the ones that pay good money.
I am an associate for Corey Rudl's course and his Mail Loop program on my web site at http://www.marketingtips.com/mailloop/t.x/12273 I get seventy five bucks a shot from him each time someone clicks and buys his products through my links to him, so that’s worth it to me that somebody’s going to click through for seventy-five bucks. Now that’s what I call a commission!
I also have my own software so that I can recruit associates to sell my new speaker video and all my other products. If anybody wants to put my links on their site, there’s a sophisticated tracking program that monitors when someone clicks though from their site to mine and buys something, and I will get a notice that it’s from their link. At the end of the month, they’ll get a check from me for seventy-nine dollars for each Wake 'em Up Professional Speaking System they sell.
If you’re signing up to be an affiliate of mine, I’m doing all the work so it’s easy for you. You will be able to come to my site and apply to be an affiliate but I’m not going to let just anyone be an associate. If I get too many out there and they’re not making any money, they just get mad at me. As an associate you would have to put some effort into making a lot of money, but you could make a couple thousand dollars a month, just off the affiliate program if you really hustled.
Corey Rudl's system of selling brings him in over 5 million dollars a year. If my program works as I’m hoping, it could mean one hundred thousand dollars a month. Just ten sales of my video and cassette tapes are over a hundred thousand a month. I hope I’m not dreaming, but it’s the strategy that I’m using.
